Regulating your emotions can significantly help in managing anxiety and stress. Emotional regulation involves understanding oneself, cognitive techniques, and practicing techniques like mindfulness, relaxation, and breathing exercises. Research studies have shown that counselling, such as cognitive behavior therapy, are effective in managing anxiety. Therefore, developing emotional regulation skills can be crucial in alleviating anxiety and creating a sense of calm and control in one's life.
