After meeting in 1995 Cailla & I were married two years later. Since we lived in cold, snowy Alberta, we thought it would be a great idea to take our honeymoon in Penticton and compete in Ironman Canada. After our ‘honeymoon’, we were hooked on the Okanagan and all it had to offer …plus we were hooked on Ironman racing. We returned to what we deemed the ‘Hawaii of Canada’ at least twice a year to train and race and enjoy the sun, beaches, cycling, running and more until we finally decided to pack up and relocate to Kelowna. In 2003 we sold our house in Edmonton, built a house in West Kelowna a year later and opened East Side Mario’s restaurant in 2005. Although we enjoyed the busy, entertaining yet sometimes trying times the restaurant provided, after the birth of our daughter in 2007, we decided to make some lifestyle changes to be able to have more time together as a family. We sold our restaurant in 2009 and are now officially living our dream…we live in the Okanagan, have a great family and have made a career change so we are doing exactly what we have always wanted to do…sell & buy homes!
