New Year – New Adventures.

I would like to thank everyone who has believed in the success of Unless Market. The last four months have been an amazing journey and I cannot wait to see what 2016 will bring.

There are a few things that are currently in the works for Unless Market in the New Year. The web presence of the store is getting an overhaul and so is the store. However, the store changing is nothing new. In the store, I will be slowly working away at developing a 4x6 write up on each unique business within the store. The write-ups will done after an artist has been with the store for over five months.

On February 26 2015, Unless Market is hosting a rain barrel auction at the Kelowna Art Gallery. There are approximately eight local artists who are painting rain barrels that are to be auctioned off at the event. The local non-profit, Elevation Outdoors, will be receiving the profits from the event to help them in their efforts to take at risk youth into the outdoors. I hope to raise awareness for rain barrels and for the market itself, through this unique event.

The last exciting piece of news, is that Unless Market is currently at capacity! One of the attributes that many of our customers enjoy is that they are able to freely move around the store. There is ton of different things to look at but they don’t feel crowded while browsing. We have surprisingly already reached that number. There are still a few unique businesses that are in the process of joining us but any new inquiries are being added to our wait list. This does mean that if anyone chooses to leave the market, I will not be able to keep their spot for them.
