When it comes to electric vehicle charging, are smart (Level 2) chargers worth the investment? Many new EV owners see that their new vehicles come with a charging cord (Level 1) that seems to only need a basic plug to function. Well, with level 2 charging comes several extra perks to the process, notably a faster rate of charge, better compatibility with most models, the ability to monitor and control your charging process through smartphone apps or other online platforms, limited energy management, and load balancing if you are... more

It's the greenest time of year! But St. Patrick's Day is more than just wearing shamrocks and searching for leprechauns—it's about embracing the sense of community and spreading positivity wherever we go. Just as St. Patrick used the shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity, we're reminded of the power of unity, diversity, and coming together for a common purpose. Happy St. Patrick's Day from the Project Electric team!

Which is it? In the early days of electrification, the standard voltage supplied to homes was indeed closer to 110 volts. As technology advanced and electrical systems were standardized, the voltage was increased to around 120 volts to improve the efficiency of power transmission over longer distances and to accommodate the growing demand for electricity. The modern standard of 120V became recognized national standard in 1967. The more you know!
