Mezzanine and Platform Storage Systems

Mezzanines and platform storage are a great return on investment that you can utilize the over-head space for additional storage, workstations and office space. Mezzanines will double your floor space having a great cost saving.

Clear span mezzanines can be custom made to your building and requirements. Platform storage systems can be built on top of parts shelving storing bulk or backup inventory above with quick pick shelving under-neath. There are pallet rack supported mezzanines, shelving supported mezzanines, but the structural steel mezzanines give the most flexibility. It allows flow lines and maximizes your floor and ceiling space.

Mezzanine staircases come with handrails and closed in stair trends. The stairs are closed in to prevent smoke from passing through the stairs. They also prevent parts from falling through.

Mezzanines are designed and engineered to a minimum of 125lbs per square foot. Handrails will carry a capacity of 250lbs. A side force kick-plate is provided around the perimeter of the mezzanine and around any floor openings to prevent items falling to the floor below. Staircase is designed to the floor heights of the mezzanines to provide safe access.

Gates can also be added to the mezzanine for loading and un-loading. A stationary lift beside the mezzanine can be used as an elevator. Steel is recommended over wood for fire resistance. Structural mezzanines are designed and engineered to each seismic area throughout British Columbia. Structured mezzanines added to a warehouse can easily be erected or dismantled if a move is required.
